Creative Suite 6 trials are 'try and buy', allowing you to evaluate individual products or editions and then convert the installed trial to a full version. You can convert from a trial to a full version at any time by either purchasing a copy of the product or signing up for a subscription. If you purchase a copy, enter its serial number in the product screen where prompted. If you purchase a subscription, you are required to be online and to log-in with an Adobe ID to start using your full version.

Adobe Encore CS6 is not available as a trial. It will be installed as part of the trial installation for Creative Suite 6 Premiere Pro, Production Premium and Master Collection but will not be available for use until you purchase.

Adobe's single user license allows installation of a single product license on two machines (such as one work machine and one home machine) provided the software is used by the same individual and not concurrently on both machines.

The Creative Suite 6 installer installs fonts into a default system font directory. If the installer finds older versions of these fonts in the default system font directory, it will uninstall the older versions, and save them to a new directory. • Timeline menu lists a wrong shortcut for Set a poster frame.
• Burning failed with PGC error 'The aspect ratio of this file is not supported by DVD' when HD and SD footage is put in same timeline.
• The button thumbnails for menu buttons does not update if project is reopened when media cache is not present.
• Un-muxed H.264 23.976 fps rendered output has incorrect frame duration
• Importing 500 jpeg as elements makes Encore sluggish.
• Audio is cut short of its duration for slideshow with 'Fit Slideshow to Audio Duration'.
• Preview not working on selecting second monitor for Video Out.
  

• Blue Screen of Death occurs when importing some files
• Color shift in Blu-ray mpeg2 m2v files
• Incorrect frame duration in unmuxed H.264 23.976 fps rendered output
• Layer break in dual layer DVD for large-sized motion menus
• Performance improvements around authoring operations (choosing transition, setting pan and zoom, moving/deleting slides) on slideshows with numerous slides

Adobe Encore (previously Adobe Encore DVD) is a DVD authoring software tool produced by Adobe Systems and targeted at professional video producers. Video and audio resources may be used in their current format for development, allowing the user to transcode them to MPEG-2 video and Dolby Digital audio upon project completion. DVD menus can be created and edited in Adobe Photoshop using special layering techniques. Adobe Encore does not support writing to a Blu-ray Disc using AVCHD 2.0.

Encore is bundled with Adobe Premiere Pro CS6. Adobe Encore CS6 was the last release.^[1] While Premiere Pro CC has moved to the Creative Cloud, Encore has now been discontinued.

Licensing[edit]

All forms of Adobe Encore use a proprietary licensing system from its developer, Adobe Systems. Versions 1.0 and 1.5 required a separate license fee (rather than making 1.5 available as a free update). Version 3, also known as CS3, was sold only in bundle with Premiere CS3. Encore CS4, CS5, CS5.5 and CS6 were only sold in the Premiere Pro CS4, CS5, CS5.5 and CS6 bundles, respectively. Adobe CC subscribers no longer have access to Adobe Encore CS6. Adobe Encore is not included with Premiere Pro CC.^[2]
